Grounded in hyper-local material resilience, MycoFlame (Figure 1) investigates Mycelium-Based Composites (MBCs) to enhance forest resilience against wildfires and support post-disaster ecosystem restoration. The project examines the physical, thermal, and fire-resistant properties of MBCs with various aggregate mixtures, focusing on added weight and fire resilience. Additionally, it relies on the computational transfer of local ecological features through depth mapping to enhance integration into specific environmental biomes.
